3 Minutes per Week

by

Everyone is talking about the 3 minutes per week workout, where you train intensely for just three minutes each week and experience fat burning and benefits similar to those you would have from daily working out.  Three minute workouts may not last as long, but they are certainly intense, and you need to pay close attention to nutrition while you are doing any sort of exercise of a strenuous nature, no matter the length of time.

Workouts On Directv

by

Many people start off the new year with a resolution to lose weight and get in better shape, but only a few actually accomplish those resolutions by year’s end, and fewer still even bothered to give a nice try. One reason for this could be that exercise is not a convenient thing to do. People believe they need special home gym equipment, a personal trainer, or a costly gym membership in order to get those pounds off. Some people, however, know a secret that I’m going to share with you today: you can the same workouts as you would get from a gym right at home, with no personal trainer, just by watching fitness channels on directv satellite or cable vision. Your satellite television programming provider is going to make sure that you have access to a wide variety of channels on a daily basis, many of which are focused on good health and fitness goals that you can follow along right from your home without having to spend extra cash or re-arrange your furniture for bringing in ugly workout equipment. You don’t have to fill up your living room or guest bedroom with rowing machines, treadmills, or BowFlex equipment in order to sculpt and mold your body the way you envision it.

It’s now official:  Paula Deen does indeed have a confirmed diagnosis of Type II Diabetes, the form of the disease that has plagued the United States of America for the past 20 years or so with increasing numbers of children and adults newly diagnosed on a yearly basis.  The so-called “Western Diet” has been blamed for the diabetes epidemic, and Deen’s notoriously high fat recipes featuring tons of butter, sugar, and highly refined carbohydrates now seem to be coming back to haunt her.  Deen has teamed up with the makers of Novo Nordisk, a pharmaceutical product aimed at helping to control diabetes in people who suffer from Type II.

Easy Office Workouts

by

Do you want to learn some easy office workouts that can help you keep your metabolism primed and ready, even when you have to sit at your desk for eight hours a day? Simply having an office job is not an automatic condemnation of activity. In fact, you can actually get quite a bit of movement into your day just by fidgeting. Yes, I said fidgeting. If you tap your foot frequently throughout the day, you are getting a little motion into your seated office life that can really help keep the blood flowing through your legs and prevent some of the problems associated with being seated for extended periods of time. While this can’t completely eradicate the risks of developing health and circulatory problems caused by a desk job over the years, it certainly can offset the damage to some extent.

Staying Hydrated During Workouts

by

Every season we hear about young athletes, usually in school or beginning college, who get themselves seriously ill working out too hard, and not keeping hydrated. During an intensive workout, especially those like the ones football players use during training, your body loses not only water, but minerals and electrolytes necessary to regulate body temperature and other vitals needed to stay alive.

by

Staying in shape and being healthy is on everyone’s mind right now for several reasons. For one thing, the holidays are here, and that means plenty of opportunities to eat, drink, and be merry. It’s all good, and everyone has to indulge sometimes, but it’s not good news for the old waistline, or for key health markers like your percentage of body fat, lipids and triglycerides, and body weight.
